Un-Religion
Neither Reparation Obamism nor Islam are religions under any sensible definition of religion. They are no more religions than any other fascist secular belief system, such as radical secular humanism. The only aspect about Reparation Obamism, Islam, and Radical Secular Humanism that is religious is the notion of red or green purpose or Sharia after death, under facilitating grace of either a Higher Consciousness or a pagan Mother Gaia. To advocate further and seek to impose divine right of red or green rule under some mortal fascist, enhanced with SchutzStaffel or Friends of Obama, is not religion, but secular tyranny! If we are so ignorant as to let these people have it both ways through such a transparent ruse, they will exclude all from the public square except their faux religion -- even as they breed, deceive, and evangelize while doing it. In short, we are allowing empathy for higher consciousness (God) to be swept behind ever closing walls, while giving free reign to Chicago thugs and secular fascists posing as people who care about God and us. This is soulless madness. Unless vigorously opposed, it will sink America.

Re: " Our most oppressive laws are often the ones designed to protect us from our own stupidity."
Such also are bubbles.
Now, gangs of speculators and mind parasites game the bubbles, using mathematical models and computer aided game playing. Enron and Madoff produced nothing but bubbles. Soros became a billionaire by making and breaking bubbles. For doping one's juices, bubble play may be more addictive and soul trapping than high stakes poker. Players get to use jobs of peons as gambling chips. Now, bubble blowing gamblers and their shills play hands whereby they own law makers, opinion shapers, fad seducers, and money lenders. Now, most people think and consume in uncertain response to how players want them to think and consume. The more law is bubbled into one's blood, the more bubble-bendable one becomes. Although bubble players are skilled in pretending to care about the rest of us, they respect no higher purpose than to play the next bubble. Become accustomed to believe in their pretensions at peril. Otherwise, society shall soon consist of nothing but bubble players and peons being played. This is a materialist's heaven.
From A.T.:
Re: "In a rare moment of weakness, "Agent Smith" confesses to a harbored contempt for the trappings of which he well knows is nothing more than a very elaborate illusion; making him a particularly heinous villain, not to mention a rather accomplished hypocrite. This worldview espoused by the movie's ubiquitous villain bears a poignant affinity to that of real life purveyors of Global Warming hysteria, as both tend to view humanity as the problem."
Soros and all his ilk are wolves garbed in granny gear, ready to eat Little Red alive. Poor Little Red: deceivers have harnessed her good heart to lead her to believe that the only folks who care abut the unfortunates and the poor are those who are paid by Big Wolfie to regulate them.
No doubt, our military is morally superior to the rats' nest in Congress. But human nature, influence, and the chain of command are what they are, and we know who is CINC and AG. We have seen that the first concern after the hideous dabacle at Fort Hood was for diversity. That the need for battlefield intelligence is subordinated to Miranda "rights." Murtha's prejudgment of the Haditha marines. Sutton's prosecution under Bush of Ramos and Compean. Acorn sliding off the hook. Intimidators at polling booths going uninvestigated. A key 911 planner being show tried in NYC. Now, Seals being prosecuted. We know there is every intention to extend the vote to millions of easily bribed, formerly illegal, and easily misled new voters. We know "elite special Dino and Rino interests who know best how to milk us and the sytem for kickbacks and earmarks" own our non-representative "representatives." Our troops are great. I'm just not so sure it is such a great thing to have the world's best military in the service of a political leadership that consists of a seething crock of commie rat bast*rds who fear "we the people" not at all. If they did fear us, would this prosecution be occurring? What -- we trash the careers of our best fighters in trade for an incorrigible enemy's fat lip? Shame.
Re: "Did it come about by conspiracy? Let's say it didn't. Then how would it be different if it did?"
Well, conspiracy, whether conscious or not, seems a bit beside the point. People agglomerate to perpetuate and leverage their livelihoods and lifestyles. Among them are found communalists and individualists. There are those who are content to combine deceit and demagoguery to control the others and the masses; and there are those who seek to empower as many as are able, as much as they are able, to take responsibility for themselves. Individualists have failed adequately to foresee and offset trends that are unfolding and evolving that seem destined to "reeducate" and reduce most of humanity to abject, submissive subjects, regardless of whether they worship Allah the Beheader or Obama the Won.
Reverend Idaho Spud said,
"Today, we are entering the next abstract, that of electronic money.
Everything is entered into a computer and the balance of cows or labor
is recorded electronically as debit or credit. We still barter but the
medium of exchange is now invisible.
If our store of wealth is measured in dollars only this will become a
problem if the dollars become worthless (Weimar Republic.)"
****
You're right. There is no material basis for storing wealth (or
virtue, for that matter). As we learn to manipulate fundamentals of
matter, we will someday make gold and diamonds, artificially and
economically.
The only real store of rights and values (spiritual and economical)
consists in Something higher.
As we enter "the next abstract," our money will lose all value unless
we retain something of value about ourselves. That is, we must retain
good will and good faith, i.e., trustworthiness. Ultimately, without
faith in the trustworthiness of the "full faith and credit of the United
States," the dollar becomes a mockery unto trollops.
Trust is earned, and easily squandered. Something fundamental about
our moral direction is leading our society, and our world, to squander
faith in the decency and trustworthiness of one another. Too many are
coming to believe there is no basis for moral faith, so each should "get
his while the getting is good." When we reach a tipping point, and
institutions of trust for money and virtue can no longer be trusted, no
mere material store of value will preserve our civilization. If
secularists believe in an "Iron Law," there it is.
Assume we were being led by persons loyal to their country, their fellows, and the general philosophy under which we were founded. Were that the case, would we have any difficulty: enforcing our borders; declining to invite immigrants of inassimilable cultures; prosecuting those who finagle ways for disproportionately siphoning fiat money to the control of a cabal of corporatists; refuting those who rationalize the undermining of national independence and the overseas transference of all production of durable goods; or recognizing the politicization of science in order to invent ruses for taxing the very breathing of the general populace?
No. Had our leaders an ounce of loyalty, we would have no difficulty putting a stop to all such nonsense. So what has happened? What should we deduce to be the agenda of our neo-elites? To what new status quo are we perilously close?
Well, enforcers of the status quo always adopt the adage “idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” They always resolve to divert the attention and energy of the masses, to tie them up with soul stifling red tape and religiously obsessive compulsions. Big government red tape and big organized religion are both useful contrivances for erecting virtual cages for regulating the masses, right down to how much they are permitted to breathe, bathe, and breed. Big Bro and Big Mullah both facilitate the main agenda of ruling elites: To reduce the freedom of conscience and the meddling of all middle class, free thinkers.
In this day and age, to allow free thinking among the masses is to risk annihilation of the good life of cosmopolitan, bi-political Rinos and Dinos. Liberty for the masses is viewed as a pestilence and a danger to the planet. The masses must be diverted, caged, or reduced. They must be conditioned so as not even to trust in God, except through such intermediaries as are approved by reigning elites.
The evil, agglomerating goal is to reserve freedom and dignity as luxuries for the sole enjoyment of those at the very top of the food chain. The “science” for this is justified based on the “survival and flourishing of the most duplicitously sociopathic and narcisstic.” Any vestige of a vibrant and mobile middle class of free thinkers must be sterilized with antispetics of political correctness. And all the neo-pagans and builders of heaven on earth say, “Amen.”
Well, the road to hell is indeed paved with good intentions (of hubristic, starry eyed idiots useful to sociopaths). We have been paving this road ever since the Progressive era. Check out this week's National Review, to learn about America's founding progressives.
For founders, they are a poor trade. Likely they were smart and well intentioned. Likely some good reforms occurred under the shade of their political modeling. Problem is, their followers mistook their models for god-like truth. Progressives were supposed to be about pragmatism, but they hubristically deemed their notion of pragmatism to like unto truth itself. They searched for truth in materialism, objective systems, organizational perfection, and Big Government.
They forgot to look within, and they forgot to respect what is within the consciousness of each of us. Indeed, many of their followers have come to believe that there is "no there, there." That is, they believe there is no essential basis for consciousness, but that consciousness itself is entirely reducible to objective, controllable empiricism. There is no God, but only pagan Gaia.
So, for them, the problem of government is merely a problem of engineering and organization. There is no need to be concerned with receptivity to, inspiring of, or communication about, Higher Consciousness as a basis for human freedom and dignity. All that is needed to bestow all the freedom and dignity you need is found in pragmatic application of principles of big goo goo government. All that is needed is once and for all to discredit and sweep aside "the god people." Or to invent a corporate, Sharia, octopus "god" who wishes to invade and provide for every aspect of your life, right down to how you breathe, bathe, and breed. In this, our Progessives are finally nose to nose with the Islamists.
Science has its very important place. Indeed, there is no freedom for mortals without laws of nature. But we need a more humble appreciation of the interface between empirical science and the divinity of consciousness. As things stand, we have broken our internal compass. Until we fix that, to paraphrase a great poet, the center cannot hold, and things will continue to fly apart.
Timely quotes by Ronald R. Cherry, MD:
“In the end Theophobic Marxism demands that good must equal evil, because that is the ultimate inequality.”
“American Equality is liberty and justice for all; Marxist Equality is utopia for an elite and privileged few; with dystopian tyranny and injustice for the rest.”
THE WALL: To take Jefferson’s “wall” as more than metaphor is a fool’s errand. Jefferson intended to guide our proclivities, to preserve individual liberty from tyrannical religion (i.e., persecution complex Catholicism or Islamofascism), not to substitute a wall for moral reality.
Unless some holy-grail “theory of everything” can explain being’ness and morality in purely mechanistic terms, how in the world can any reasonably functioning adult behave as if it were proven possible for man-made law precisely to define that which is based purely in faith in a higher Source apart from that which is purely materialistic or secular?
See http://www.heritage.org/Research/Reports/2006/06/The-Mythical-Wall-of-Separation-How-a-Misused-Metaphor-Changed-Church-State-Law-Policy-and-Discourse: “James H. Hutson of the Library of Congress has concluded that the President ‘regarded his reply to the Danbury Baptists as a political letter, not as a dispassionate theoretical pronouncement on the relations between government and religion.’
Throughout his public career, including two terms as President, Jefferson pursued policies incompatible with the "high and impregnable" wall the modern Supreme Court has erroneously attributed to him. For example, he endorsed the use of federal funds to build churches and to support Christian missionaries working among the Indians.”
….
“Justice Stanley F. Reed denounced the Court's reliance on the metaphor. ‘A rule of law," he protested, "should not be drawn from a figure of speech.’”
