Islam's transcendent challenge
November 4th will be historic not only because the U.S. will elect its first black president or its first female vice president, but also because Pope Benedict XVI will convene the most important interfaith conference in recent history.
Responding to his controversial 2006 speech at the University of Regensburg -- in which he seemed to imply that Islam is inherently violent and irrational -- 138 Muslim leaders sent an open letter to Benedict and the heads of other Christian denominations titled "A Common Word Between Us and You." The letter said, in effect, "We need to talk." The Vatican subsequently announced the formation of a new Catholic-Muslim Forum. Its first meeting will be held on Election Day.

Everyone is going to have their own point of view, and I respect that. I also respect Catholic believers who are in the Catholic Church. However, I am a person who believes in conspiracy. I don't necessarily see "active conspiracy" on the parts of human beings. I more see a "collective consciousness conspiracy" that is just the result of shared consciousness. I'll try to explain.
I personally believe there are forces and powers greater than ourselves under whose will we march - though we all believe we march to the beat of a different drummer. I think it's the same drummer, and we march to varying degree. I just don't believe that we independently autonomously march to our own individual beats.
In other words, I believe in the powers of good and evil which hold sway over each of us in our consciousness.
Life is very orchestrated from my view. The Bible, for example, says it is not within a man to order his own steps. Forces and powers beyond our own selves influence us in ways that create our course and shape our paths... though we each have a consciousness and a will and individual personhood. We do not control our own steps... and our steps are orchestrated in an order that gives place at times to "conspiracy theories" where no such active conspiracy exists in our consciousness. Yet, the conspiratorial nature of cohesion gives pause for thought.
I believe there is a force of evil that coordinates it's own conspiracies and works to draw others into a very clearly synchronized plan without persons being aware, even, that their steps are being ordered and that evil has a conspiracy in which they play a shared part with others. "Collective consciousness".
I say that to just say how I view things. But, I had a thought cross my mind today - and I mean no disrespect to Catholic believers. But, I have long heard that when "Mahdi" comes... who different religions call by different terms... the "messiah" of the religions of this world... the Catholic Church would be integrated into this one world religion on it's "political side". (I am not one to believe that individual Catholics are part of the "world system" and not the spiritual body of Christ just because they choose to be members of the Catholic Church. I believe that there are some Christians in the Catholic Church who are false and others that are true just like, imo, every other church.)
However, the thought that crossed my mind today was that if Obama was the "messiah", the "Mahdi", as Farrakhan had proclaimed... then what of the Catholic Church?? The institutional and political Catholic Church would have to "unite" with Islam to unite to come under the "messiah", the "Mahdi" of the Islamic world. (I don't believe that individual Christians would - I just believe the systematic order of this religious institution would have to come under the world system of the "Mahdi".) I just couldn't conceive of how Islam and the political institutional level of the Catholic Church could unite with Islam to become a one world new age religion.
But then I read this article. November 4, huh?? Wow. Interesting.
Is it a "conspiracy"?? If it is, it's not conscious. It's the conspiracy of evil moving to progressively orchestrate a one world religion as the "Mahdi" ascends. It doesn't need to be conscious. Evil is conscious at higher levels than our mere human minds can comprehend... and evil has a conspiracy to which the feet of those under the bend and sway of it's influence... march.
Evil has a drumbeat... and those under it's power over whom it holds sway do march. They think they are under their own control moving their own feet.
However, as evil gains in presence and power in influence in the hearts and the souls of men... their feet march ever and ever more resolutely in goosestep formation... and things look more and more like there must be some conscious synchronization occuring... but that's not the case. The level of conspiracy is happening according to the force and power of "the one" who is moving their feet.
November 4, huh??
I'll say it again, "Wow". Sooooooo... the Catholic Church and Islam are meeting to discuss transcendance. Those 138 Muslim leaders just felt so.... moved... and the Catholic Church just also felt so... moved.
They are not "moving" themselves, imo.

Personally, I tend to conceptualize such situation as being expressive of God's existential angst, cognitive dissonnance, or broken symmetry. Perhaps, even God "has to crack eggs in order to make omelets."
Evil may emerge from God's need to express "Will To Power"; Good ("Enlightened Empathy") may emerge from God's need to express "Will To Math."
Out of the twain, there devolves, artistically, our ever-morphing experiences of perspectives. But, we are all expressive of the same, essential, underlying Will, i.e., God.

However, quite a lot of people, including Obama himself, are smelling profit in trying to get everyone to believe.
Who controls the media also instigates the panics and dispenses the "signs."
I suspect those who control The Fed also control the media.
I suspect the Vatican may also smell money.
Quite a lot of folks are easily rabbled, and there are quite enough rabble rousers lining up to pick their (and everyone else's) pockets.

It is much the same story with true believers in Barack Obama. They have made up their minds and not only don't want to be confused by the facts, they resent being told the facts.

When one thinks of all the men who have put their lives on the line in battle to defend and preserve this country, it is especially painful to think that there are people living in the safety and comfort of civilian life who cannot be bothered to find out the facts about candidates before voting to put the fate of this nation, and of generations yet to come, in the hands of someone chosen because they like his words or style.

Among the steps of (1) demoralization, (2) destabilization, (3) crisis, and (4) socialist re-normalization, steps (1) and (2) have been going on in America for quite some time. Now, the tipping points, at (3) and (4), seem quite close upon us.
Against this, we cannot beat something with nothing. And, America, presently, has essentially nothing.
First, America does not do a good job of inculcating civic appreciation of American values. Rather, “education” from media and academia reinforces feminine, pie-in-sky, everybody-play-nice, code-pink, “multicultural values,” with little admiration extended to “American values” or to manly defense.
Second, American institutions and academia provide virtually nothing to encourage citizens or students to trust to traditional values, as contextualized in Judeo-Christian metaphors and sacred stories. Rather, traditional values are being rapidly undermined.
Again, America cannot beat something with nothing.
Even now, American leaders seem content and unready to offer resistance to the liberal fascism of Bush and Obama that is tipping us ever closer to catastrophe.
Apart from Reagan (and Palin?), from whom have we enjoyed any visionary (or real) leadership for defining and defending America, as America? Why do we blithely assume the Cold War is over and that American representative governance is safe? Are no signs yet shouting to us?
