Ok, I just watched parts of "Fitna." Got the point. Entire populations are being trained much like pit bulls, solely to hate and, when put in the pit, to fight. Once a pit bull has been conditioned since a pup to that kind of existence, can it ever be retrained and made fit for decent society? With Muslims, are we dealing with morally zombiefied populations? Are we not deluding ourselves to think it possible to speak reason with them?
At the other extreme, we have bookish femimen and feminazis who have been sheltered their entire lives from practical experience, while getting "educated" in progressive Marxism. Are we deluding ourselves to think it possible ever to make them fit for the real world?
These people are drones from different hives. One hive is conditioned to saw off heads, the other is conditioned to throw tantrums. One destroys minds, the other tears things up. Neither allows themselves to think outside their conditioning.
George Washington was right. Why are we entangling ourselves with these people? Cui bono?

Our material world is not the best of all possible; we are only its gardeners, always pursuing communion, and perhaps eventual merger, with a happier state of being.

Regarding the “Liberty Foulest” of Islamists: When it comes to sawing off heads and killing minds, they’re mighty good. When the final showdown comes at last, a law book will be no good.
Competence, connections, and values are all important. And Republican voters will sort that out. But, insofar as Conservatives are principled, and principles are derivable from common sense for confronting the overarching challenges we face in common, I suspect there is much more that unites Conservatives, Libertarians, and Tea Partiers than that divides them. That is, where their interests are based on principled insights as opposed to wannas.
I think the essential divide (I hesitate to call it a litmus test) relates to this: (1) Do you believe in higher values for inculcating cooperation and decent society among free individuals, or (2) do you believe in detailed government to be regulated and enforced against the collective by treasury skimmers, elite secularists, and cultists?
