COUNTDOWN — More and more, danger signs and sirens abound:

1) Fewer and fewer monopolists are coming to own or control media, academia, governmental regulators — even entire political parties.

2) Politicians are being turned into Manchurian candidates, as front men, to do as their real controllers require.

3) Politicians are being fronted by puppeteering stakeholders, coming more and more to be selected, trained, and strung for qualities of dumb or unquestioning loyalty, thereby trumping individual competence, vision, and courage.

4) Rules are being rewritten and markets are being fundamentally manipulated, to put entire national and international currencies ever more proportionately into hands of a select, secretive few.

5) Shares of wealth and power are being apportioned ever more to ever fewer elites and monopolists, reducing the power and liberty of most underlings.

6) Ordinary citizens are being reshaped and indoctrinated ---- by media, academia, and financial debt slavery — to hope and believe they are entitled to universally socialized services, which will come easily to fruition as soon as they turn themselves over completely to an ethereal ideal of socialism, which will be scientifically and fairly managed by smoothly packaged personalities, who have at heart only the best interests of all of us.

7) Children are being conditioned to believe morality is nonexistent, discipline is fraudulent and criminal, drugs lead to nirvana, individual initiative is “acting white,” families are unimportant, everyone is already an entitled winner, and goodness will grace us all as soon as we “change” things by turning out of power those who advocate for self reliance.

8) Children and future teachers are being exposed and turned over to indoctrination at ever younger ages, to be taught to trust and admire cultish personalities and to trade liberty for security.

9) “News” outlets are continuously reinforcing the mesmerizing messages and slogans of a select few.

10) The will of the majority is being openly rejected, often ridiculed as “trash.”

11) The electorate is being expanded to encompass ever more of the indoctrinated and dumbed down.

12) Voting is becoming unverifiable, subject to easy abuse, trending towards meaninglessness.

13) The most true-believing are being indoctrinated to justify means with ends, cheating to win, fraud for elections, acting out to stifle questioning debate, and intimidation or force as democratically justifiable means to achieve victory.

14) Litigious show trials are being advanced as social remedies, to the boon of Plaintiffs’ bars run amuck.

15) Nations and borders are being erased.

16) National founders are being relentlessly impugned; children are being indoctrinated to dislike or hate their nations’ histories.

17) Individual dissent and freedom of expression are being relentlessly undermined, to be sacrificed to Orwellian speech codes, political correctness, groupthink, “fairness doctrines,” and anti-hate speech laws.

18) Dissenting internet blogs are being shut down.

19) Words and histories are being reduced to doublespeak and sacrificed to memory holes; minds are being stunned to believe fairness is censorship, identification of voters is suppressing the vote, speaking your mind is hateful, and returning to gulag is “change.”

WILL TO MATH:

All physics is based on spiritual faith in “Will-To-Math.”

Were we not divided by petty diversions and disputes, angst could be reconciled by effecting simple bookkeeping entries.

Consider
recommendations from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTegmIU0uOc:

1) The National Treasury should print U.S. fiat notes to pay off all outstanding U.S. bonds.
2) Many former bondholders would then deposit such notes in banks, so the banks could use such new deposits to make new loans, thus precluding a freeze-up of credit.
3) To prevent such a glut of new money from causing inflation, the fractional reserve requirement should be steadily and proportionally increased, so that, eventually, the reserve required for a bank to make a loan would be 100%.
4) I believe this would separate banks and banking from investment firms and securities speculation, so that banks would depend solely on interest charges on their 100% backed loans in order to make their profits.

Physics As An Ultimate Bookkeeping Trick:

The Stuff that manifests to us as matter, energy, space, and time seems to have derived, and in its interrelations, continues to derive out of, or in respect of, an “Original, Ultimate, or Superior Source of Somethingness” — either “Will of God” or “Paradox of Nothingness” (or virtual particles or apparitions, appearing as tricks, out of otherwise nothingness).

Intuitively, the manifesting, physical stuff we measurably and mathematically experience emerges or derives out of and/or in respect of an “Ultimate Source” that is beyond our measure or math. We may be faithfully receptive to intuit IT and/or to respect IT, but we cannot measure IT or deal with IT empirically or scientifically. We may intuit that what seems to be manifest and physical may, in relation to IT, be some mere trick of math or imagination in respect of IT. That is, all that we empirically experience may be product of Bookkeeping-Trick-Of-Currency or perspective (or faith, credit, trust) of Will-To-Math.

Something Wicked This Way Comes!

Why are such commendable, yet simple, recommendations ignored?

BECAUSE, THE N.W.O. IS CONSPIRATORIAL, MEANT TO SERVE THOSE FOR WHOM THE PURSUIT OF POWER OVER OTHERS IS ALL!

Money-ruling elitists have been trained, conditioned, and prepared to swoop, like birds of prey, in stunningly callous and carefree ineptitude, to overreach at every apparent opportunity to push some sort of agenda, hatched and precontrived among N.W.O. conspirators.

That agenda, brazen, if not treasonous, entails secret coordination among co-conspirators bent on watching for events of sufficient volatility that they can be bent to push civilization, globe wide, towards a system of international socialism, to be ruled over by secretive, power-mad elites --- REGARDLESS of votes or preferences of those to be ruled, REGARDLESS of what may best serve a system of sustainable freedom and dignity!

RED ASS MODERATES MUST NOT BE NAIVE, MISLED, OR DIS-ARMED REGARDING THE EVIL HOLD OF POWER LUST OVER THOSE WHO ARE ONLY LOYAL TO A BOND FOR SUBORDINATING EVERYONE ELSE!
CIVILIZED FREEDOM IS A RARE AND PRECIOUS THING. MIS-VALUE IT, AND IT IS EASILY LOST.
.

Hollow Men:

It becomes:
- wearisome to watch any expression of will surrender to soulless loss of faith that any quest for spiritual vison or appreciation can be worthwhile;
- wearisome to watch despair sinking into co-dependent, drugged stupor;
- wearisome to see cheering for badness, destruction, holocaust, apocalypse, defeat;
- wearisome to endure leftist anger, spewed and dedicated to a proposition that no manifesting thing is worth appreciating, but that only an impossible ideal could ever be good, the pursuit of which leads to desperately accelerating devaluation of every emerging opportunity of self reliance.

Against the spiritual hollowness of modern “liberals,” it falls to Red Ass Moderates to sound an alarm that the ideal of International Socialism is a rat trap lie, being invited under a fascist spider spring.

BREACH OF MORAL TRUST:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/01/business/economy/01leonhardt.html?em:

In the current environment, bankers are nervous that other banks might shut them out, out of fear, and stop extending that short-term credit. This, in a nutshell, brought about Monday’s collapse of Wachovia and Glitnir Bank in Iceland. To avoid their fate, other banks are hoarding capital, instead of making seemingly profitable loans. And when capital is hoarded, further bank failures become all the more likely.
The crucial point is that a modern economy can’t function when people can’t easily get credit. It takes a while for this to become obvious, since most companies and households don’t take out big new loans every day. But it will eventually become obvious, and painfully so. Already, a lack of car loans has caused vehicle sales to fall further.

DIVIDE AND RULE — MOTIVATION OF POWER ELITE:

Divide and rule by entertaining and diverting public attention and energy to petty, diversionary disputes!

Orwell's critique of Sinisterism in "1984":

To them power is not a means; it is an end.
The Party seeks power for its own sake.
One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes a revolution to establish the dictatorship.

ASSAULT ON FREE SPEECH:
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=M2MxMWJlNzcwMDU3ZTJkYjRmZjU3N2U0OGNlZmE1ZDg

The Prophet of Change is only to be admired, not questioned. In the stretch run of an American election, there is to be no examination of a candidate for the world’s most powerful office — whether about his radical record, the fringe Leftism that lies beneath his thin, centrist veneer, his enabling of infanticide, his history of race-conscious politics, his proposals for unprecedented confiscation and distribution of private property (including a massive transfer of American wealth to third-world dictators through international bureaucrats), his ruinous economic policies that have helped leave Illinois a financial wreck, his place at the vortex of the credit market implosion that has put the U.S. economy on the brink of meltdown, his aggressive push for American withdrawal and defeat in Iraq, his easy gravitation to America-hating activists, be they preachers like Jeremiah Wright, terrorists like Bill Ayers, or Communists like Frank Marshall Davis. Comment on any of this and risk indictment or, at the very least, government harassment and exorbitant legal fees.

....

Item: When the American Issues Project ran political ads calling attention to Obama’s extensive ties to Ayers, the Weatherman terrorist who brags about having bombed the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, the Obama campaign pressured the Justice Department to launch an absurd criminal prosecution.

Item: When commentator Stanley Kurtz of the Ethics and Public Policy Center was invited on a Chicago radio program to discuss his investigation of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an “education reform” project in which Obama and Ayers (just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood”) collaborated to dole out over $100 million, the Obama campaign issued an Internet action alert. Supporters, armed with the campaign’s non-responsive talking points, dutifully flooded the program with calls and emails, protesting Kurtz’s appearance and attempting to shout him down.

Item: Both Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, have indicated that an Obama administration would use its control of the Justice Department to prosecute its political opponents, including Bush administration officials responsible for the national security policies put in effect after nearly 3000 Americans were killed in the 9/11 attacks.

Item: There is a troubling report that the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Section, top officials of which are Obama contributors, has suggested criminal prosecutions against those they anticipate will engage in voter “intimidation” or “oppression” in an election involving a black candidate. (Memo to my former DOJ colleagues: In a system that presumes innocence even after crimes have undeniably been committed, responsible prosecutors don’t assume non-suspects will commit future law violations — especially when doing so necessarily undermines the First Amendment freedoms those prosecutors solemnly swear to uphold.)

EVIL OF SOCIALIZING DEBT WHILE KEEPING PROFITS PRIVATE:

Snippets from http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/a_long_term_strategy_for_a_fre.html:

....

Let's be frank. This bailout legislation is the first step in an effort to socialize debt -- while it attempts to keep profits private.

Markets work because they reward good investments and punish bad ones. The legislation's effort to protect unsound investments seems to assume that investors will not take these protective measures into account in future financial speculations.

This quasi-socialist economics cannot and will not work. When a government nationalizes its country's debt, it makes rational assessments of risks in the private market all but impossible. Is it risky to invest in "The Fiduciary Bank of Loans to Unqualified Borrowers?" Who knows? Depends whether or not the bank's "troubled assets" have made the Treasury Department's list.

....

Privatize Social Security. The Social Security system has to be fixed someday. Why not start now? The federal government collects nearly 20 billion dollars every day in SSI payments. This money is presently funneled into the world's biggest Ponzi pyramid.

....

... We are told that we face an economic disaster of titanic proportions and then, in the next breath, we are told that only a massive influx of taxpayer dollars can save us. People with sound economic sense know that this is not true.

It is time we started looking to the market place for solutions to our economic crisis. If we continue to look to the federal government to fix the problem, we will eventually corrupt and destroy America's free market system ... and lose ever more economic freedom.

....

FN: This kind of fraud and corruption occurs far more often in socialized economies than it does in free market economies. "Inside information" is not rare in socialism -- it is the norm. My soon to be published memoir Underground: Life and Survival in the Russian Black Market addresses this issue.

....

COMMENT BY AUTHOR: While doing research for this piece, I read several articles that claimed that Republicans were persuaded to vote for the senate's legislation because of the inclusion of the mark-to-market provision. (See section 133 of the bill.) If this is true, then the Republicans are an awful cheap date. Democrats crammed the bill with exemptions, unrelated legislation, and various payoffs. Republicans got the promise of a study. I call that "gutless."

....

SNIPPET OF COMMENT BY Randall Hoven: All good points. But falling on deaf ears. The public has already swallowed the lie that this was a failure of the free market, an "unfettered free market" per Nancy Pelosi. And McCain merely echoes the "it was corporate greed!" crowd. We are in for a New New Deal. This time it will be pure communism, not the watered-down kind like last time.

SNIPPET OF COMMENT BY Otis A. Glazebrook, IV:
The Government now effectively owns about 70% of financed housing! We are too late!
The Government sffectively controls Energy/transportation, it is wrecking Healthcare and now housing...... tell me what is left?

SNIPPET OF COMMENT BY AmericanInEurope:
... the real criminals were the negligent liberals who in the name of socialism ignored all the red flags of an artificial housing bubble for years and boldly and nakedly took kickbacks from Fannie & Freddie donors and stood in the way of any new regulation - the very same regulations Barney Frank decries we didn't have!!!!
....
Unfortunately, we will now all suffer for the utopian kumbaya fantasies that Dodd, Barack Obama and Barney Frank and the idiots at ACORN brought to us. Capitalism wasn't the problem, in a sane world it would never had come to this if it were allowed to prevail and destroy the institutions early on that were generating such risk before the risk could become systemic. Instead, Socialism propped up and rewarded the failures and led directly to the impending calamity.

To Be A Patriotic American:

Why not begin with some meaningful concepts or definitions?

It seems probable that most Americans, and most patriotic Americans, tend: to respect the importance of freedom and dignity; to not favor one-dimensional brain conditioning of school children; to not favor unnecessary governmental restrictions of free expression; to not favor surrendering individual control or initiative to ideological controllers; to not favor the undermining of American traditions, institutions, or government by any and all means; to not favor imposing confiscatory taxes; to not justify imposing rules based only on ideologies that have never worked in practice; to not engage greater loyalty to a country or cause other than America; to favor defending borders; and to expect competent vetting by the Press of political candidates.

Those who are antithetical to such tendencies are probably contrary in their tendencies or patriotism to most Americans. Apparently, however, it is a major faux pas, or verboten shorthand, to suggest that any Leftist may be “unpatriotic” or “un-American,” as opposed to saying, in longer version, that such person “favors tendencies contrary to those of most patriotic Americans.”

Of course, many Leftists, such as Ayers and Wright, may very well tend: to wish most of us to surrender freedom and dignity to security and control; to favor schooling slanted towards leftism; to favor various speech codes, enhanced punishments for hate speech, and controls against profiling that may work against leftists; to favor rule by properly educated (indoctrinated) elites; to disfavor traditional, sacred, or middle-class stories and civically inspiring histories; to disfavor Constitutions rather than leftist judges; to favor governmental control over private initiative; to favor big government and the big taxes needed to fund it; to favor loyalty to those countries, entities, and sponsoring personages as may be most useful to the nomenklatura among leftists; to favor the spreading of leftist ideology over the defense of national borders; and to favor control of means of delivering information.

Apparently, one may still disagree with such Leftists, by pointing out how their ideologies, tendencies, and actions go against those of most Americans. But, they, and their cohort of controlled media, will be in high dudgeon should anyone DARE to suggest that they are unpatriotic or un-American!

Yet, they never seem to say in what particular respects they believe they are patriotic or American — except to scream they have bona fides because, being born in the U.S.A., they are as patriotic or American as anyone else. To which I say: If you mean to say something, please, define your terms.

What goofball posturing, the accusations about who’s an American or anti-American!

REGARDLESS, NOTE TO LEFTISTS: YES, YOU OFTEN DO TEND TO FAVOR TENDENCIES CONTRARY TO THOSE OF MOST PATRIOTIC AMERICANS. (For a listing, see above.) Why else must you -- so fascist-like -- train hacks to control, hide, and misrepresent your message and media to gullibles?

GREAT RECKONING:

Re: “The fruits of oligopoly can be lush, but like all fruit, they ripen and eventually spoil. Without the discipline of competition, bad habits develop, become ingrained and institutionalized, and ultimately weaken the competitor.”

Well, I fear a global rationale for dismantling the Big 3 is not altogether unlike a global rationale for dismantling America. But, I do not think now is a safe time for dismantling America, nor that America should (or could) retreat into isolationism. Rather, I think America must remain internationally engaged — but AS AMERICA, with defining boundaries — in land, taxation, and business.
In competing as America, our governance has too often intruded, like Cinderella’s clumsy step-mom, by luxuriating resources on the ugly while allowing the beautiful to languish. When government chooses to hinder technological progress by insulating local production, should not minimally responsible government try to offset its distortion by effecting such tax incentives as would encourage advances for keeping domestic production competitive with international producers — in respect of safety, bio-friendliness, and energy economy?
In America’s failing to have made responsible governance a factor, we abandoned long term vision among producers of durable goods to exigencies of short term profit-taking.

That government will regulate is unavoidable. So, what impetus can push American governance to regulate with better vision? In mis-match to urgent need for vision, the distorted quality of America’s media, academia, and electorate is frightening. “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18.

Responsibility for the production predicament of America and the Big 3 goes beyond the Big 3, into the prodigal profligacy of American consumers, voters, and politicians. A Great Reckoning must restore balance. But, if we work smartly, the restoration need not completely undermine American style freedom and dignity.

Comment by Dlanor, at http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/kathleen-parker-and-the-oogedy-boogedy-blues/#comment-157510:

Oogedy-boogedy?

What about the "Black Liberation Theology" Obama listened to for more than 20 years? Did it not advocate the killing of any God inconsistent with Black values?

BTW, much of Christian theology is based on parables, metaphors, models --- as interpreted and made relevant to the context of one's life. Christians tend to be humbly receptive about praying to God for guidance, not for kool-aid or proof.

But, in all humility, what is Kathleen's favored flavor of kool-aid?

Kathleen, grow up. Please.

Comment by Dlanor, at http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/11/hindus_jews_and_jihad_terror_i.html:

Mark Roth (The first step must be to stop preaching of Wahabi Islam anywhere in the US. That means interrupting the flow of funds, the inflow of immigrants of moslem origin of whatever nationality, the declaration and recognition that Islam is not a religion, but rather a political philosophy, and the closure of any mosques preaching wahabism. Before you react in horror let me assure you that I know that the "Free Exercise" clause of the US Constitution would appear to be violated, but it would not. Islam, much like communism, is far less than a religion and far more a political and economic philosophy. I also know that there are freedom of speech issues. However, both are taken care of by recognizing that Islam is no religion, but rather, is a political framework, a political doctrine, and one which, moreover, is at its core opposed to the West and dedicated to the overthrow of our form of constitutional government.")

You are quite correct. We are lost if we lack fortitude and intellect even to recognize that not every movement by which bands of nutjobs consent to whip themselves into frenzied conspiracies for undermining and destroying the fundations of our civilization can be tolerated as a "religion." Otherwise, every crazed movement of despots and anarchists would receive constitutional protection, merely by claiming to be mandated by God.

For nutjob libs: This distinction is not that hard. Our civilization does not have to tolerate the intolerance of despotic community-mind-controllers who are bent on not returning the favor of tolerance, merely because they invoke God.

Wahabism is despotic mind control masquerading as religion. Libs will equivocate, as if the same reasoning would render Christianity not a religion for purposes of our Constitution. This is because so-called liberals want to discredit all religion, except their own Illiberal Secular Big Government Religion. But, not every movement that invokes God is a religion, and not every fevered movement that denies God is a rational non-religion. Christians are not seeking to outlaw Liberal Religion. But we should outlaw conspiratorial practices of Wahabbi non-religion (i.e., open advocation of cultural thuggery).
