God and Corporatism

As one ages, one turns to consider posterity and ask: how may decent society best strengthen its freedom to pursue happiness into perpetuity? May "God" ask such a question on a meta level, continuously? At any given point in space-time, the situation may constitute what Dr. Pangloss should call the best of all possible worlds. Lest Voltaire’s ridicule should roundly rain, one should instantly peg Leibniz with a qualifier: regardless of whether that which abides may seem the best we have been able to accomplish, we no doubt ought to learn from it, so that we may never be satisfied and, instead, should apply hindsight towards better future sight (hoping like M. Ali and J. Namath to get better looking every day).

On some meta level, may America be part of an unfolding experiment, under God’s contingently interested supervision, testing and developing various checks and balances meant to lead towards some meta civilization of relatively free thinkers? If so, how is the accumulating influence of open-society international corporatists, in buying governance, undermining America as an enclave for free thinkers? Obviously, corporate capitalism cannot very well simply be outlawed. After all, what nation could do so and still remain relevant or competitive?

Still, are there not ways to regulate and live with corporatism, without allowing it to destroy the middle class and therewith to destroy meaningful freedom? If so, how should decent society soften the sharp edges of corporate predation, so that even those blessed or conditioned with the least in willingness or ability to work are still availed a measure of human regard? How should corporations best be regulated to preclude them from corrupting representative government and running roughshod over the well being and freedom of ordinary citizens? How can we reduce the power of international corporations to undermine America as a nation-based enclave of decent, human liberty?

To help American style freedom to become better looking every day, we need to rethink how corporations are allowed to do business – nationally and internationally. Without more thought given to appropriate checks, international corporations will pay no more heed to borders than ravening wolves, and will, in relentless pursuit of profits and prey, run the freedom of individuals, the middle class, and entire nations into the ground.

Regarding founders’ religiosity: See http://american_almanac.tripod.com/hamphau.htm.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Hamilton
In 1802, he (Alexander Hamilton) began to organize "The Christian Constitutional Society", the first principle of which, even before supporting the Constitution, was "the support of the Christian religion".
....
After his misfortunes of 1801, Hamilton began to assert the truth of Christianity; he also proposed a Christian Constitutional Society in 1802, to take hold of "some strong feeling of the mind" to elect "fit men" to office, and he wrote of "Christian welfare societies" for the poor.

From A.T -
Re: "What ever happened to the regularly reported "BODY COUNTS" from the main stream media?"

Good observation. The funders who hope most to benefit among cynical Democrats weren't really against the war, except as means to oust Republicans. So long as Obama whips up some way to wag the dog, Obama knows he need not explain his military actions, since his base has nowhere else to go. So, how will Obama wag the dog?

Why was it so important to Obama's funders to oust Republicans? Well, there was money and power to be gained by eating the stuffing out of America. The middle class was getting too cocky, so it had to be knocked down. Too many people were running interference against the agenda of the "open society." What does the Saudi King, to whom Obama bows, want, that would wag the dog? The agenda is not really about saving the environment, spreading the wealth, promoting fairness, or preserving a powerful America representing a powerful middle class. Sure, implementation of the carbon credit scheme has been delayed, but something very like it will grind forward, so that no living soul will be able to breathe without being in violation of numerous laws, for which enforcement will be at the whim of our masters.

If a decent middle class does not soon assimilate a philosophy for sustaining the kind of moral values that empower liberty, then the middle class itself will soon be fitted and yoked. Only if the caring, non-nihilistic, middle class assimilates a political platform based on a philosophy of sustainable moral values, may it, and America, escape the path being laid out by the anti-liberty alliance that prevails among Islamists, Marxists, and Corporatists, who are carving up the world. Otherwise, the "fittest" to be favored by evolution will consist in systems inimical to individual liberty.

History is replete with "instances in which pretended patriots and politicians have raised themselves and families to power and greatness, by destroying that freedom and those laws they were chosen to defend." "If the men who at different times have been entrusted to form plans of government for the world, had been really actuated by no other motives than the public good, the condition of human nature in all ages would have been widely different from that which has been exhibited to us in history." Anti-Federalist Nos. 18-20.

Re: "Only morally and emotionally deformed individuals could embark on a political smear campaign just moments after such a tragedy without possessing any facts whatsoever."

As the price of oil goes up, I see Obama still keeps a chokehold on America, to keep us from developing our own energy resources. This is insane, yet he gets away with it. Why? Because his base has been fed, conditoned, and raised to believe anything, so long as America is made the culprit! Some are so thick they actually believe choking America's neck is good for cuddly animals and the world at large. But what's Obama's real rationale? Does anyone else suspect his buddy Soros told him to keep the choke on tight? America has long been an attractive target for high placed, neck wringing, pocket pickers. However, they had to wait until the stars lined up. They needed someone like Obama. What an actor! He tells us he cares even while he's choking us.

Meanwhile, Obama's morally and emotionally deformed followers tell us, "Just give him time. He really wants to improve our lives. Really, really." To be happy, America need only believe --- even as the Obamanauts turn out the lights and steal us blind in the dark. Lewis C. made the Walrus and the Carpenter out a narcissistic pair. But pay attention to what these cads, Obama and Soros, do, and then interpret what they say in that light. Which one means to be the walrus and which one means to be the carpenter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py6Zc3eq0Uo

Is there any profit or sustainable motive in speaking for a middle class America, which mainly wants only a decent, defensible country, and desires neither to rule nor be ruled? Envious Dinos imagine they can profit by leveling and spreading wealth. Their Rino handlers imagine they can profit by controlling the levers that are to do the leveling. Are both playing chicken, in an eyeball to eyeball game of Cloward-Piven, to profit by selling out the middle class?

In Texas, during a period of multibillion dollar deficits, legislators are proposing that the state's limited immunity from being targeted for tort lawsuits should be lifted. Is this some kind of reverse Cloward-Piven or Atlas Shrugged strategy --- to collapse State government in order to force privatization of toll roads and as many other public services as possible, while somehow during the interim benefitting through the back door? Are Rinos and Dinos now cooperating with China to accelerate the collapse of the middle class, the American dollar, and human freedom?

During this sensitive time, are any leaders finding motivation to act responsibly, avoid unnecessary impositions of uncertainties, tackle unsustainable entitlements, draw down governmental services, increase national energy independence, and slow the transfer of wealth from the American middle class to second and third world despots? Have the last sane leaders of the American middle class abandoned ship?

Why do American corporations expect a free trade model to work with despotic regimes, so long as despotic regimes retain power to simply consume control over the corporations it lures, like moths to a flame? Are our corporatists really the smartest guys in the room, or just the guys with the biggest gleam for the quick bucks? Is corporate oligarchy the model they really want to bring back to America and to spread throughout the world?
